Oh dear lord, Michael Phelps is hosting the season premier of SNL. I don't think i could bear to watch because i hate feeling embarrassed for people. However, my fingers are crossed that he's shirtless the entire time.

I uploaded a bunch of photos i took this weekend at the park. This place was beyond words beautiful. We had a great time and saw quite a bit of the place. Last night when we were sitting around talking, there was no moon and you could see every star in the sky. The way my tent was designed, the entire "door" was all mesh so there was a nice cool breeze blowing through and i could look at the stars while i laid there. It was perfect.

Also, listening to James Morrison makes me happy. And i'm sad that the Olympics are over now. Who's coming to Vancouver with me in a year and a half for the Winter Games?

Went to see Broken Social Scene tonight. It was pretty sweet.

I'm camping with Betsy, Scott and Adam on saturday night. We're going to Capital Reef National Park, which is about 3 hours south of SLC. I'm super excited, it looks amazing there.

Also, it's about damn time they investigate that shit.

4 of us are staying until saturday night when we go to san diego. originally the plan was to fly in that morning and then fly out at like 5 in the afternoon the same day. That seems sort of dumb since we're there on a friday, why not stay part of the weekend. So we're either staying at this sweet resort right on the water in Ocean Beach or we're crashing at one of Tommy's (our in house photographer) friends places near there, like 4 blocks from the ocean. I am so damn excited about this trip. It's exactly what i've been needing. Seeing the ocean!! Drinking fruity drinks on the beach and seeing palm trees. And i remember reading about the stuff that went on at last years ASR and wishing i could have gone, and now here i am getting flown to it. absolutely crazy how life works out. there's always lots of pro skaters and snowboarders at this thing, lots of snowboard movie premieres at night, lots of free drinks being handed out by the vendors at the show.

P.S. I really want this camera. That brown is so pretty. I love that it looks like wood.

My boss informed our department today they we're being flown to San Diego for ASR (Action Sports Retailer) on September 5th. I'm so stoked. All the cool brands that i care about will be showing there. Volcom, RVCA, Vans, American Apparel, Nixon, Quiksilver...brands like that. Should be awesome.

I just watched the first track and field event, the 100m dash, and i'm already sick of these guys. They're all so damn full of themselves. Its obnoxious.

Michael Phelps...thats what i'm talking about. He's awesome and i enjoy his lisp. I teared up when the US won the relay. His teammates had such great things to say about him. Loved it. P.S. Brendan Hansen is really attractive.

I went camping last night in the Uninta's with some friends from work. We were at about 10,500 ft. elevation and it was freeeeezing. Woke up this morning with ice crystals totally covering my tent. Sweet.
Today we hiked around Mirror Lake which was pretty lame. There were so many families picnicing and fishing that we felt like we were in a Colman ad (example). But there were some beautiful views of the huge ass mountains.

Went hiking today with Betsy, her friend who's in town from michigan, and Adam. We went to Donut Falls. It's a fairly easy hike to get to it but once you get there you have to cross this creek and pretty much climb up the side of this rock face to get to it up close. It was so fun getting dirty and climbing up to the top of the falls. Looking up at it freaked me out but i just made sure i placed my feet correctly and had my hand on the rocks in front of me...and didn't look over the clif to my right. Such a cool feeling after we got back down though. It was so beautiful.

Tomorrow, brunch and $2 mimosas.

Plus, i found out that my student loan payment this month is only $188 instead of the $700 it was last month. Guess who's going shopping.

Day 1 and i'm already sucked into the Olympics. Road biking? Beach volleyball? Fencing? Heck yeah i'm watching them.

Also, those drum-light things at the beginning of the opening ceremonies...that was the coolest thing i've ever seen in my life, i'm not even joking. It gave me goosebumps.

I just booked a flight to Chicago for October.

The Costa Ricans had another party at their place last night. Lauren, her boyfriend Scott and I went up there for it and we had an awesome time. Drank mojitos and jager shots all night. Mojitos might just be my new favorite drink. But only when Rolando makes them.

Saw Step Brothers today and i enjoyed it. Except for this annoying girl behind me who laughed at EVERYTHING really loudly. That was a little distracting, so i'm gonna need to see it again. But i'm so glad it didn't disappoint me like Blades of Glory did. I love me some JCR.

Camping was postponed because Scott was too hung over to leave his house yesterday. haha

So instead i went to a cookout at Lauren and her bf Scotts place with a few other friends. We then went mini golfing at about 10 o'clock at night while drunk and it was a great time. However when Colby put my purse in his trunk the door bent my ipod.

I got my ipod out this morning to turn it on and i saw it and i couldn't figure out what happened to it. I'm like "did it melt??" Colbys trunk door is the only thing that could have caused it. I can't really blame him or think he owes me a new ipod. It's not like he threw it against the wall, he obviously didn't do it on purpose. I needed a new one anyway because its been acting up but its still sad to see an ipod like that.

Also, Eric and Kayla finally picked a date for their wedding. So i'll be going home the last week in September. Stoked!

1. What are your reasons for having a LJ?
Mostly because a few of my friends had one. Didn't LJ used to be invite only at one time? Maybe i'm crazy.

2. What do you do before bedtime?
brush teeth, 100 crunches, set alarm, check email, turn lights off.


3. What will your dream wedding be like?
Hmm. I'd love to have a destination wedding in some beautiful place. But its doubtful that i'd be willing to spend $200,000 on a wedding. I really dont know though, i haven't really thought about it very much.


4. What is the city of your dreams and why?
The city of my dreams that i've been to before would probably be San Francisco. I just have the best memories of that place and its beautiful. I love cities that are on the water. Having lived in Chicago and then moving somewhere thats not near water, thats probably what i miss the most.
The city of my dreams that i've never been to...i'd say Paris, even though thats really cliche. But it just seems all lit up and magical. Plus it's really historic and i love the art.
